Take advantage of cashback offer for Real Nappy Week

Real Nappy Week runs from 16-22 April and Three Rivers District Council, in partnership with Hertfordshire County Council, is giving cash back to residents if they use real nappies.

Real nappies are made of cloth and can be used over and over again. They reduce the amount of waste sent for disposal and also the amount of energy and non renewable resources used to produce disposables.

Ruth Tucker, Environmental Projects Officer, said:
"Modern real nappies come in a range of funky designs complete with a removable cloth lining, which makes washing easy. We’re delighted that so many are giving real nappies a try. Making the switch is a really simple way for parents and babies to reduce their impact on the environment, plus, using real nappies can save money!”

Residents who buy their own real nappies and wash them at home can get up to £50 towards the cost. If they then choose to sign up to a nappy laundering service for at least six months they can get up to £80 towards the cost.

To apply for the cashback complete an application form online at www.threerivers.gov.uk or call 01923 776611.
