Real nappies are made of cloth and can be used over and over again. They reduce the amount of waste sent for disposal and also the amount of energy and non renewable resources used to produce disposables.
Ruth Tucker, Environmental Projects Officer, said:
Residents who buy their own real nappies and wash them at home can get up to £50 towards the cost. If they then choose to sign up to a nappy laundering service for at least six months they can get up to £80 towards the cost.
