The woodwind final of the 2012 BBC
Young Musician Competition will be broadcast on BBC4 this Friday at 7.30. One
of the finalists is Charlotte Barbour-Condini who won the Rickmansworth Young
Musician competition in 2010 playing the recorder. This is the first time
a recorder player has reached this far in the competition and is a reflection
of Charlotte's extraordinary ability.
Tune in for the start of the
programme; I am told by her mother that she is first to play. I
heard her playing part of her BBC programme at the Amersham Festival a
fortnight ago - absolutely super and not to be missed.
