High St Thefts in Rickmansworth

C2/11/2801

A purse belonging to a cashier was stolen from behind a counter of a shop in Rickmansworth high Street during lunchtime on thursday 10th November.

The cashier was alone in the shop when two east european females entered. One female managed to distract her by asking about information on products while the other reached behind the counter and took a purse.

This may be connected to mobile phones stolen from shop counters in Rickmansworth earlier in the week.

Both females are described as slim about 5 ft 5 tall and both mid thirties. One is described as wearing all black with a long skirt, the other describerd as wearing jeans and a cardigan.

Shoppers are advised not to leave mobile phones and purses on tables in cafes and restaurants as they can easily be stolen when distracted.

Three men arrested in Rickmansworth for using counterfeit notes 04/11/2011

Three males were arrested in Rickmansworth after being seen using counterfeit notes in Rickmansworth High Street at lunchtime on Friday. Police were alerted by a member of the public and the men were stopped in the vehicle they were seen getting into shortly after leaving the high street.

Twenty pound counterfeit notes were recovered from the vehicle they were travelling in and from shops who were unaware that they had been targeted.
