FREE Dog Micro Chipping
With the recent success of FREE dog micro chipping in the local area by way of an organised event through Dogs Trust, we have found that more dogs are still in need of this service. Unfortunately no more events will be organised but instead some veterinary practices will be offering the FREE service directly. The community can find their local participating veterinary practice by visiting this web site- www.chipmydog.org.uk and then search using the map provided on the site.
The law on Dog Micro Chipping WILL be changing as of APRIL 2016. So, please take full advantage of this FREE service.

Health Walks in Three Rivers
The Hertfordshire Health Walks are a free programme
of short and sociable walks which take place across the county. All walks are
led by trained and insured volunteers. In the last year nearly 5,000 people
took part in Health Walks in Hertfordshire with over 2,100 walks taking
place. Many of our walkers and volunteers have found the walks beneficial for
managing weight, lowering blood pressure, improving bone and muscle strength
and helping to manage or recover from a variety of conditions such as diabetes
and cancer respectively. As well as this, the walks have helped them make new
friends and discover their local green spaces and countryside, all of which is
important for general wellbeing.
If you or someone you know could benefit from Health Walks
either as a walker or as a volunteer please visit the website - www.hertfordshirehealthwalks.org
- or call 01992 556033 for more information. *There are two walk leader
training days taking place in May, one in Bishop's Stortford and the other in
Hemel Hempstead.* Soon you could be joining the 800+ new walkers that
walk every year, led by the 200 volunteers giving more than 7000 hours of their
time.
Happy Health Walking!
