Distraction Theft in Cafe Nero Rickmansworth



Two women described as east european in traditional dress entered Cafe Nero in Rickmansworth High street on tuesday morning just after 10am.

They approached a woman sitting at a table and have offered her leaflets. While doing this they have placed a leaflet over the womans mobile phone which was on the table at the time. They person offering leaflets has concealed the mobile phone under a leaflet and left.  The offenders have been captured on CCTV getting into a vehicle shortly after, further enquiries are in hand.

Shoppers are warned to be vigilant against this type of crime and should be wary of leaving valuables such as a purse or mobile phone in view in any public place.

Any suspicious activity like this should be reported to police via 101 or 01707 354000.
