Cashpoint Skimming in Rickmansworth


A skimming device was attached to the Nat West Bank Cash point in Rickmansworth high street on 6th July at 2030 hours.

A member of the public called police when his bank card was trapped in the machine. The member of public retrieved a camera phone which had ben stuck to the top inside of the cashpoint and was on videorecord to capture someone typing in their pin number.

The device was taken away by police and the member of public was given his bank card back and was not a victim on this occasion as he remained at the machine until police arrived.

Always cover your pin number when using atm machines at cashpoints or shops. Report any suspicious people on 101.
