The Big Draw
This afternoon, I went down to St Mary's Church in Rickmansworth to take part in The Big Draw. Every person that took part painted a part of a paper version of a stained glass window. Local talented artists as well as those of us with far less talent took part, and many children came in to have a go and make a contribution to the windows. My piece of the window was in my 'naive' style. Once I had chosen the subject of my contribution I promptly realised that I had no idea how to draw it!! Hey ho! I did my best and I rather fancy the finished result looks rather good (for a 6 year old). Practice makes perfect. My daughter made a fabulously colourful painting and seemed to really enjoy the experience. Don't think either of us will end up at the Slade though!
