Tuesday 12  November - Talk on the "Green Man" by Dick Onians, a local man from Sarratt, who says it's
"An examination off the fascinating origins of the Green Man and its many manifestations".
Tuesday 3 December
The Christmas lecture is "St. Nicholas of Myra and Santa Claus, a case of mistaken identity by Sally Dormer,
about "The development of the medieval cult of St. Nicholas and his transformation into Santa Claus".
All talks at Sarratt Village Hall, starting at 11am with coffee/tea from 10.30.
Visitors are welcome for a small charge.

News Update from OWL Neighbourhood Watch


Police were alerted to two white european males who said they were collecting for the homeless in EBURY ROAD Rickmansworth Friday 1st November. The males were described as 20 to 30 years old and the reporting person did not think they were genuine. Police were unable to locate the males but any further callers thought not to be genuine should be reported on 101.

Quiz 'n' chips night raises £1,000



A charity quiz night on 25 October, has raised approximately £1,000 for the Watford Peace Hospice and the Three Rivers Museum.  The evening was hosted by Three Rivers' Chairman Les  Mead at All Saints Church hall in Croxley Green and included a fish and chip supper.
The winning team was the 'Legal Eagles' which included two members of the District Council's legal team, Dot Gowans and Irene Furbank, staff from Anthony Gasson Opticians and Canadian guests of the Chairman.
